Who Are You?
I am is an intuitive and an energy healer who experienced a truly
remarkable healing when I did this plan myself (see About
Sara to learn more). I am NOT a medical doctor or a certified
nutritionist, although I have a lot of knowledge about and personal
experience with nutrition and whole foods.

How
Exactly Do You Figure Out What I Should Be Eating?
I work intuitively, so when we talk I look at your energy and
listen to the information your body is giving me (see About
Sara to learn more). I go through a comprehensive list of over
300 whole foods, and I read your body to see which it can easily
digest and assimilate. Only these foods are on your "YES"
list, because these are the foods that free up energy in your body,
which allows you to heal.
Some
people wonder how I can get accurate information over the phone
or from a photo. Let me assure you that working together on the
phone is just as accurate as sitting in a room with you. I work
by connecting to your energy and spirit, and physical distance in
no way impedes this connection. Information can traverse distance
over phone lines or the Internet; in a subtler version of the same
principles, your body can communicate with me, too, regardless of
distance.
I
have done this work in person; over the phone; from photos of people
I have never met (like I do on this website); and once without speaking
to the person or even seeing a photo! (this was a relative of a
client, and she went on to write a very satisfied testimonial).
One international client whom I have never met sent a photo and
was surprised when I told him he had a candida albicans overgrowth
- he had never mentioned it to me, although his local naturopath
told him the same thing.

What
Does My Body's Energy Have To Do With My Digestion?
Everything about us and every system in our body is interconnected,
both large things like your digestive system, and subtle things
like the energy that flows through you. I can tell by your body's
energy whether it can easily digest something. I can't tell you
exactly how that works, but I know from experience and results that
it truly does work. It doesn't matter if you believe in it or not;
it works either way.
back

What
Will I Be Eating?
You will be eating the whole foods that your own body can easily
digest and assimilate (also known as your "YES" list).
While these foods may look similar to someone else's on this plan,
there will be unique differences because you have a unique body.
I listen to what your body tells me it can handle.
You
will be eating the specific fruits and veggies that your body can
digest, plus select proteins (most bodies prefer specific animal
proteins), and grains (the grains that your body can digest are
NOT the "bad carbs" you've heard about. There are two
specific grains that digest easily and don't send your blood sugar
all over the map or trigger cravings; one is even a complete protein!),
and you will have at least one type of oil and sweetener that your
body can handle.
back

Do
I Have To Eat Everything On My "YES" List?
No. You don't have to eat anything you don't want. You are simply
allowed to eat everything on your "YES" list.
back
to top
Will
I Be Taking Supplements?
I do recommend certain supplements, but it won't be too many.
I like certain green foods and bee products because they give you
a very usable form of vitamins and minerals, which are building
blocks your body needs to function. There are a couple other supplements
I use to help balance your blood sugar or your intestinal flora.
The only supplements I will recommend for you are those, like your
foods, that your body likes. It is your responsibility to check
with your doctor to make sure s/he agrees you are getting the needed
nutrients, depending on your situation.

Will
I Lose Weight?
If you are above your ideal weight, it is very likely that you
will lose weight on this food plan, because you are eliminating
foods you can't handle (interestingly, these are often the same
foods you want to binge on), and because your body is getting back
in balance. You don't need to count calories, and you don't need
to deny yourself any "YES" foods, as long as you stick
to your recommended percentages of fruits/veggies v. other foods.
This
food plan helps bring you back into balance. If being overweight
is one of the ways you are out of balance, it is very likely you
will lose weight (see testimonials),
as well as alleviate weight-related health problems. As I'm sure
you know, exercise and proper hydration work with proper diet for
healthy weight loss.
If
you are not trying to lose weight, just eat the quantities
you like, and eat more if needed.

Will
My Food Plan Be Restrictive?
If you have CFS, Fibromyalgia, candida albicans or another health
problem that has been causing you significant trouble, then yes,
your first plan will probably look quite restrictive to you. That's
because if your body is out of balance, there are a lot of common
foods it just can't handle. But remember, you won't be on this first
plan forever! The wonderful thing about this food plan is that you
heal as you go, and that means that when you check in with me every
two months, you will have more and more foods added to your plan
as your body heals.
In
the meantime, remember to BE CREATIVE! See what "YES"
foods you can substitute to make the things you like to eat. You
can find excellent recipes in some of the books I recommend here.
If
you are in relatively good health or better, and are getting your
own food plan to better support your health and wellness (click
here for information on single-session
Food Energy Healing plans), you might not feel that restricted at
all. Remember that many foods common to the standard American
diet are not healthy to anyone, so you probably won't find
them on your "YES" list. If you're used to eating
that stuff, it's a change, but I think you'll find that change worthwhile
for your health and wellbeing.

Will
My "YES" Foods Be Expensive?
Not especially. Many items, like produce, are regular supermarket
foods. For some items, you'll need to go to a health food store.
Health food and organic produce (if you choose to buy it) can be
more expensive than conventional products (unless you are lucky
enough to live near a Trader
Joe's Grocery Store, which has many natural products like sprouted
bread at very good prices).
Keep
in mind, the cost of healthy food is minimal when compared to the
cost of medicines, doctors' bills, lost wages, further health problems,
and a lesser quality of life.

How
Soon Till I Feel Better?
It depends on the individual. In the first week or two, you
may feel slightly worse if you are detoxing from things like sugar,
coffee, chocolate, or alcohol. It is normal to feel tired and/or
headachy and have cravings if you are used to having a lot of sugar
and caffeine and then stop. When I started this food plan, I felt
more tired at first because I was giving up chocolate and coffee!
However, after about 2 weeks, I began noticing improvements in how
I felt.
Within
a few months, I was beginning to feel amazed at my new energy level.
Remember that you did not develop all your health problems overnight,
so it may take longer than "overnight" to heal them.

How
Do I Get My Plan?
The first thing to do is email
me. Then we'll set up a free phone consultation so I can
learn about you and discuss a plan that is suited to you. Your
plan will most likely include both food plans and coaching because
it is crucial to address the thoughts, feelings and beliefs that
are holding back your healing.

How
Long Does The Whole Process Take?
It
usually takes a year for you to complete the plan and "graduate",
i.e., complete the whole process and be able to adopt a nice, healthy,
well-rounded maintenance diet. At your year follow-up, I will give
you a special "graduation diet" that contains the basic
core foods to stick with for your optimal health. Once you graduate,
you have a lot more flexibility in what you eat. At this point,
your body has healed enough that if you occasionally eat something
that is not a "YES" food, sure it is a bit of a stress
on your body, but you should be able to handle it!
back
to top
When
I'm Finished, Will I Be Able To Eat Everything Again?
You
will be able to eat substantially more, and still feel good, than
you were able to before you started. You will get a "graduation"
plan that will detail the most healthy foods for your body, and
now you will be strong enough that if you eat other things once
in a while, you will be able to handle that extra stress.
However,
you will probably notice that certain food still make you feel less-than-ideal.
This is because there are foods out there that are intrinsically
unhealthy and stressful to your body! Now that you are feeling better
and are more in touch with your body, you may even notice your reactions
to some foods and wonder how you ever put up with that before! Some
examples of stressful foods are refined flour, which is in the vast
majority of easily obtained foods in America, and has been stripped
of the majority of its nutrients (like fiber and B vitamins). White
sugar is another stressful food that is in all kinds of things (learn
more in the book "Sugar Blues").
Also,
there are many environmental stresses we deal with every day that
take a toll on our bodies: pollution, chemicals in our air, foods,
and water, to name a few. Eating cleanly supports your body by making
sure it has high quality fuel it can use, without adding further
stress to your body. The fact that you got sick or out of balance
in the first place suggests that the stresses around you were more
than your body could handle. So you can love and support yourself
by eating well, long after you graduate from the diet.

Does
Food Energy Healing Work For Other Conditions Besides Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome (CFS)/Fibromyalgia (FM)?
Yes. It works to heal* everyone, because:
-
it is a holistic treatment that works on your whole body (not
just a specific symptom), and
-
it is intuitively tailored for your specific body, so you can
eliminate the speculation about whether it will work for you.
Food
Energy Healing it is especially nice for CFS and FM, because these
are two conditions that baffle Western medicine - where there is
no adequate explanation for their cause, and no adequate treatments
or cures. This plan gives you the power to take your life back,
and take your healing into your own hands in a dramatic way that
shows you real, positive results.
Please
also remember that one of the characteristics of holistic healing
(such as Food Energy Healing) is that it treats your body as a whole.
Your healing, weight loss, etc., will happen as your body comes
into greater balance. Since you are a unique individual, you will
have your own results that may very well be wonderful. However,
the only specific result I can predict for you is a movement
of your body toward greater health.
*Please
note: When I say "healing," I mean the act of
bringing you/your body to a state of greater balance and harmony.
"Curing" (removing all evidence of disease) is not necessarily
the same thing, and I make no claims that Food Energy Healing will
cure your condition, although it very well might!

What
If I Have Candida or Parasites?
This plan should help you, but check with your doctor or health
practitioner about additional treatment. Parasites in particular
usually require treatment by a trained professional, but this food
plan is an excellent adjunct during that process, and will help
you heal any conditions existing concurrently with the parasites.
Candida may or may not require additional medical treatment; you'll
need to discuss this with your doctor or health practitioner.
Whatever
medication you are on, following this food plan will help support
your body through your treatment process.

Can
I Do Food Energy Healing If I'm A Vegetarian?
Yes, as long as you are willing to eat animal products such
as eggs, butter and yogurt. Many plant-based proteins are extremely
hard to digest, so you can't rely on them as your protein source,
especially when you first start your Food Energy Healing plan. Remember
to check with your doctor to make sure you're getting sufficient
nutrients such as B12.
If
you are vegan, and committed to remaining vegan, this probably isn't
the plan for you. There are certain food categories in which the
animal-based products are much easier to digest than their vegan
counterparts, and I will never recommend a food your body can't
digest, even if it is vegan.

Can
I Do Food Energy Healing If I'm Pregnant or Breastfeeding?
No. While the whole foods I recommend are good for any stage
of life, pregnant and breastfeeding women have specific needs best
dealt with by someone who can monitor them more closely.

Can
I Eat Out?
If you have CFS, Fibromyalgia or other condition that's really
bothering you, your Food Energy Healing plan may be restrictive
for a while. So, while it's hard at first, eating out is still possible
- and it gets easier as you go along, because every two months when
you get your follow-up report, more foods are added in because your
body has already started healing itself! There are ways to
eat out. Try Asian or vegetarian/health food restaurants, and explain
your particular restrictions. Remember that most restaurants will
use oils and other added ingredients that are on your "NO"
list, but many will prepare oil-free grilled fish and steamed veggies,
no sauce, etc., if you request.
If
you're in pretty good health or better, you may have no trouble
at all eating out, especially if you ask for a substitution here
and there.

What
About My Family?
The foods on your plan are healthy whole foods that are easily
digested and utilized by most bodies. Your family can eat these
foods too, and they will benefit from them as well. If some members
of your family have health problems too, they might want their own
personalized plan (get them a single-session here).
Your plan and their plans will probably look very similar. We're
all humans, so while one of you may have more "YES" foods,
the core foods that support each of you will be the same. There
will be plenty of overlap.
